The Townhome Times August, 2024

What’s Happening Around Town?
Pedestrian crossing signage, Private Road signage with speed limit, and painted crosswalks in alleyways have all been completed. In addition, lighting that was out in one section of the mews has been restored. Thank you to the HOA Board.
Correction
Please note that yard waste and large item collection day is Thursday, not Wednesday as previously stated. Items cannot go out until Wednesday evening. Please do not put out unsightly garbage, large trash items, cardboard boxes, and yard waste until Wednesday night.
Reminder of the Month: Summer Home Care
The end of summer is a great time to check on and take care of the following:
· Lubricate garage door springs.
· Clean your bathroom exhaust fan.
· Clean refrigerator coils.
· Check smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detectors.
· Take care of your AC unit so it runs efficiently by having your unit serviced regularly. Replace air filters. Dirty filters can harbor mold.
· Clean up the area around the outside of the AC unit-Keep vegetation, leaves, twigs, and other debris at least 3 feet from the unit
· Clean the coils of your AC unit regularly-Use a garden hose and coil brush to remove dirt, grass clippings, and other debris.
Back to School
School is back in session which brings additional traffic and pedestrians to our community. Please adhere to all speed limits and street signage, and be more aware of kids on scooters, bicycles, and skateboards, as well as students walking to and from school.
Alleyway Courtesy
Please do not have contractors doing work for you (pool cleaning, landscape projects, carpentry, and the like) park in the alleyways. Large parked trucks in our narrow alleyways cause unnecessary frustration to residents who are unable to safely pass by. Please have all vendors park on surrounding streets or on a parking pad.
Resident Survey Coming Soon!
Be on the lookout for a survey from our HOA Board who is seeking your opinion on the fence proposal along Seidel (to address kids cutting through the hedges), as well as a proposal for an off-duty police officer at night to patrol to keep our community safe.
What’s Important to You?
Townhome residents have unique needs and challenges; however, we are all part of one community. With that being said, what is important to you and your family? What are some of the challenges of living in the townhomes that sit at the very entrance to our beautiful neighborhood? Are you concerned about HOA dues increasing, upkeep of amenities, safety? What is on your mind? The Townhome Committee wants to hear from you! The only way for our Committee (and our HOA Board) to understand what’s important to you is to hear from you either in person at a meeting or via email communication.
