Email Received from Spectrum 01/22/2024
Good morning Nick and team,
Our executive call will be held tomorrow, 1/22 for approvals to include our TV select and 1 GiG ACW DATA. This value is normally $44.99 but with approval for $34.99 per unit due to the miscommunication. As you can see, this is a big difference in price. Once approved, it will then go to even our higher executive level for final approval on Friday 1/26. Once approved, I will reach out. My goal is to start the clock with your community by January 29th.
Thank you so much for your patience on this!
Sincerely,
Candi McMullen

Update from the Board
In December of 2023, in preparation for the launch of our bulk services with Spectrum, we discovered that Spectrum had initially provided us with special pricing for television stations in error. After discussions with Spectrum's Community Solutions Manager, Candi, it was decided to present an alternative solution to her management team to rectify the error. This involved offering upgraded TV Select services at the same price as the contracted TV Essentials package that the HOA had agreed to purchase.
However, it appears that Candi misjudged the ease of obtaining approval from upper management, and as of now, we have not yet received confirmation. Candi has assured us that we will receive an answer by Friday, January 26, 2024.
Attached to this email, you will find further details indicating that our services "might" commence as early as January 29th, but please note that this is not confirmed. We kindly request that you refrain from contacting Spectrum Bulk Services until you receive formal notification from the Board.
Billing
We urge you to continue paying your HOA fees as scheduled. Once we have a firm start date from Spectrum, the Board will discuss any overages collected from residents and determine how to credit those overages accordingly.
Regarding your Spectrum services, please continue to make your payments as usual. Once we officially transition and receive the official "OK" to contact Spectrum Bulk Services, you will have the opportunity to liaise directly with Spectrum regarding discontinuing your personal accounts and receiving any pro-rated refunds.
Some residents have inquired about why the HOA is collecting $40 per month per household when bulk services are only charging $34.99. The reason for this is to cover the cost of taxes and fees that are not included in the $34.99 charge.
Additional Questions
We understand that this update may not address all your questions or concerns. While the HOA is not acting as a substitute for Spectrum's customer service, we recognize that many residents may have additional inquiries. Therefore, we have insisted that Spectrum and FSR management make themselves available in the coming days for a town hall meeting, either virtually or in person. This will provide homeowners with the opportunity to engage directly with Spectrum management to have all their questions and concerns addressed.
We acknowledge that the start of services did not proceed as planned, but please rest assured that the Board acted in the best interests of the community to ensure accountability on Spectrum's part for the misinformation they provided regarding the TV package.
Although this process has been frustrating, we remain confident that once resolved, these services will be a significant benefit to Lakeshore residents.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
TV Select Stations
See attached channel list provided by Spectrum, when if approved, we can expect to receive.
I appreciate the update, is each household going to still receive a Xumo box as previously communicated? Also what pricing should we expect for add-ons like Entertaiment and Sports package? I hope this gets resolved by Friday. Look forward to additional updates.
